Nate Lantieri

Lead Organizer

Nate Lantieri has been a community organizer in various roles for the past fifteen years, all in support of the power of collective action, mostly in Burlington, VT. With Volunteer BTV, Nate has served as the lead organizer and outreach coordinator, connecting people, projects, and organizations for the common good.

Nate works as the Research Coordinator at Vermont Housing Finance Agency (VHFA) in Burlington, where he manages the HousingData.org website.

He is also the Chair of the Burlington Parks, Recreation, & Waterfront Commission & is a Steering Committee member of the Ward 5 Neighborhood Planning Assembly (NPA), both roles in a volunteer capacity.

Nate studied Community & International Development at UVM, moving to Burlington to attend the school in 2015.

Maddie Hersam

Art & Design Coordinator

As a lifelong artist & Vermonter, Maddie brings her trained eyes & skilled hands to the organizing team. Maddie leads the design of the branding and marketing materials for Volunteer BTV, helping to solidify our ethos within our visual style. She also loves to get her hands dirty in the field, volunteering for various causes since moving back to Burlington in 2020.

Maddie works at Conant Metal & Light in Burlington in c lighting production. She has previously worked as a glassblower at AO Glass in Burlington and studied Animation at MassArt in Boston. With her free time, Maddie makes stained glass artwork in her studio in the South End.
