Mission Statement

Volunteer BTV is a grassroots, community driven organization focused in growing the impact of volunteerism in Burlington, Vermont through community organizing, resource sharing, and volunteer network development. 

Volunteer BTV was officially created in 2026 following years of similar DIY project work from the Organizing Team.

Vision

Volunteer BTV is the fulcrum of community service in Vermont’s largest city, acting as the initiator of ambitious service projects within the city’s public land, as the steward of a people powered volunteerism movement, and as the connector between organizations & individuals interested in community service.

    Corps Service Projects

    1-2 flagship service projects per year within Burlington’s public lands, informed by community requests & city department priorities.

    Organizational Development Training

    Support for emergent & existing community groups through free training opportunities, offered as a series during the Winter.

    Volunteer Network Connector

    Acting as the connector between people, organizations, and projects by convening stakeholders & sharing volunteer opportunities.
